Materials and construction

Walls: The walls are a single layer of teak boards joined with tongue-and-groove and tightened with metal fasteners.
Base: Ulin, Indonesian ironwood, lifts the sauna above the ground and resists moisture. On soft ground the sauna stands on piles screwed into the soil.
Frame: A timber frame runs along the corners and the bottom.
Moving: The sauna comes apart into up to 10 parts and goes back together from the same parts.
Finish: The outside of the teak is treated with a finish, and you choose the tone. Inside, the wood stays natural.
Door: 10 mm tempered glass, opening outwards.
Insulation: Foil-backed insulation sits only in the roof and keeps the heat inside.
Heater: The price includes an electric heater with stones. A Finnish Harvia heater is available on request for an extra charge.
Inside: Benches, LED lighting and a sand timer.
Floor: Wooden decking, with porcelain tiles on request.
Ventilation: During a session the vent brings in fresh air, and afterwards it removes moisture.

What you can add to the sauna

We can design the sauna together with a plunge pool, deck and shower as one place to relax. Extras are paid separately, and you can add them later.

Piles: Supports screwed into the ground to raise the sauna above it
Plunge pool: A stone basin of terrazzo, concrete with stone chips, for cold or warm water
Shower: A freestanding shower on a wooden stand, you choose the wood
Water heater: A unit that heats water for the shower
Deck: Decking around the sauna in teak, ulin or stone, as you choose
Canopy: A roof over the sauna zone gives shade and shelter from rain, you choose the material
Changing room: A separate room for getting changed
Lounge area: Loungers, a table and chairs made of teak
Bath set: Towels, slippers and sauna hats

How ordering a sauna works

We write every agreement, the warranty and the sauna use rules into the contract.

We learn about your site, the number of people and whether the sauna is for you or for guests.
We measure the site and choose the model, wood tone and extras together.
We prepare the estimate and contract and show a visualisation of the sauna on your site.
You pay the deposit in rupiah once the contract is signed.
Our workshop prepares the wood and makes the sauna.
We deliver the sauna taken apart anywhere in Bali and assemble it on site.
We show you how to use the sauna and look after it.
You pay the remaining amount after assembly.
We stay in touch and advise on care.

What the warranty covers

The sauna structure has a 1-year warranty. If you assemble the sauna yourself, the warranty is 3 months. The heater is covered on its manufacturer's terms. If water is poured onto the heating elements instead of the stones, the owner pays for the repair. If you sell the villa with the sauna, the warranty passes to the new owner.

How to care for the sauna

The sauna is aired out after each session. The wood finish is renewed once a year. The joints are checked from time to time. Detailed instructions come with the sauna.
